Week 6 Day 1; Buddhism; Ambattha Sutta 2:1

"In the supreme perfection in wisdom and righteousness, Ambattha, there is no reference to the question either of birth or of lineage, or of the pride which says: 'You are held as worthy as I,' or 'You are not held as worthy as I.' It is where the talk is of marrying, or giving in marriage, that reference is made to such things as that." (Ambattha Sutta 2:1, from the Digha Nikaya of Buddhism).
When we reduce all the endeavours of our temporal Universe to its primordial essence, it seems that the motivation is the perpetuation of our experience (our beliefs, our familial lineage, our material possessions, etc). And 1 of the most significant factors that facilitates this perpetuation is marriage and procreation; which is 1 large reason why it is such a significant arrangement within peoples' lives, and why so much valuation is placed within it. Amidst your experience of the process of marriage arrangement, how do you feel yourself "valuated," and how do you "valuate" your marriage prospect?
Love And Peace.
